Article: Can Pinterest Conquer Social Commerce with 'Buyable Pins'?

Pinterest's announcement of "buyable pins" has many wondering if the site will be able to master social commerce, unlike other giants such as Facebook. Based on industry sources, Pinterest's US audience of nearly 50 million may be more primed to buy than the general social network population. The site already drives more-qualified ecommerce traffic than Facebook and Twitter, thanks largely to one of its key use cases: creating "socially curated glorified wish lists."
